Hello Again from Thailand

Wow, it's been only a week and so much has happened. I feel like I am
on another planet but half way around the world seems about right.
People ask me where I am from and it seems so surreal that I am from
somewhere other than here I feel so present and so aware, so grounded
and so spacey. I really liked Bangkok in some strange, fascinated
way. People were so friendly. Two Thai women were treating Sara and I
like sisters by the time we finished our meal in their restaraunt.
They wanted to teach us thai cooking and dancing and were spoon feeding
us treats. I loved the blue tile and cold showers of our room so
refreshing compared to the dusty smog of the city. We hopped on the
night train after only one day and made our way south (Ian, you were
right about the top bunk being hard to sleep on) where we boaded a boat
that took us three hours out to Kho Phangan. If you want to check out
where we are, the website of the resort here is thesanctuarythailand.com
or something. The little cove Sara and I found is like a santa cruzian
bubble of isolation and hippiness. It is only accessable by boat or
through a 4 mile trk through the jungle and is a mecca for healers and
healing. Already, I have recieved and given massages. Ahh so much to
tell you but I'm out of time. It was so good to hear from you if you
wrote me. I love you so much and miss all my homes and all my loves,
Love Amy
